We set out this weekend for a one day jeep trip. We decided to check out Desert National Wildlife Refuge. It is the largest Wildlife Refuge in the lower 48 states covering more than 2,300 square miles. It covers six major mountain ranges and is home to an abundance of plants and wildlife. It was established in 1936 for the protection of the Big Horn Sheep. We decided to take Mormon Well Rd which goes from US95 through the Yucca Forrest to US93. As we rose in altitude it started to snow and before we knew it we were traveling in about 4-6 inches of snow. We had a great day out on the trail and followed it up with a nice meal, at where else other than In and Out.
